Roadmaps Ministry To Debut

Shared Blessings latest ministry venture will take us down a path in  the lives of those struggling.  As our day-to-day relief ministries continue, we are now looking to dig in deeper with select families to help bring them out of crisis, create stability, and provide for long-term growth and change.  This year long mentoring program will create new relationships that will provide the resources and opportunities for substantial growth.

Our desire is to walk along side those struggling.  To provide encouragement, leadership, timely information, a listening ear, spiritual direction and more.  We will invest significantly in people's lives through the most effective means possible... relationships!

The 1st year of this ministry will be limited to just a few families as we lay the groundwork for the future.  In the years to come, we plan to train dozens of mentors who will volunteer to work in one families life throughout the year.  Look for updates on the growth of this program throughout 2015.

2014 By The Numbers

"I do not agree with a big way of doing things.
What matters is the individual." - Mother Teresa

Numbers are overemphasized.  They can be misleading.  We tend to believe that bigger is better.... seemingly always competing to grow faster.  Mother Teresa said, "I do not agree with a big way of doing things.  What matters is the individual."  Those are cautionary words.

As Shared Blessings continues to grow, we are seeking to focus even more on the individual.  It's the compassion, love, and generosity in the individual life that makes all the difference.  Each of the numbers listed here represent REAL individuals and REAL families.  REAL people struggling with REAL needs.  The more we look REAL people in the eye, the more our compassion can grow.

  • Over 6,600 people received clothing
  • 19,800 bags of food were given to over 630 kids in 18 different schools
  • The Nutrition Club cost over $100,000 to operate in 2014
  • Over 9,000 people received food from our Food for Families Ministry
  • Food for Families doubled from 2013 when we gave to to 4,400 people
  • Over 100 families received financial assistance with bills, transportation, etc....
  • Over 250 families received household goods like bedding, kitchen supplies, etc....
  • 1 family moved into a brand new home build by Habitat for Humanity
  • 25 critical home repairs were completed for low income homeowners

The more we look real people in the eye,
the more our compassion can grow.

2014 was the most active year in our history.  From serving those struggling, to the involvement of volunteers and donors, this year has seen growth on every front.  Thank you for the part you have played in making 2014 such a success!
