As I'm writing this blog, we are dealing with an outdoor gas leak that has caused us to have no heat in the building, as well as a broken water pipe that has left the warehouse and part of the shopping room flooded! This was not on our to-do list for 2010. There are so many other things that need to be happening right now instead of the cleanup involved from a burst water pipe. But the reality, is that sometimes, life just happens that way. Some of the people who come to Shared Blessings for help have experienced that same truth. They have hit hard times and it can be overwhelming. Losing a job in this economy is not that difficult. Finding a new one can be!
So as we are cleaning up over the next few days (or longer), we will stay positive because many, many people have it worse than we do. Our temporary problem will get solved through hard work & some money (ouch). But it will get solved. There are some who wonder if they will ever make it through their difficulties!
